We are an all-arts festival that celebrates the artistic and cultural connections of our community and world. Through innovative intersections of theater, dance, music, film & video, opera, visual art and spoken word, we bring together diverse artists and audiences from DC and beyond to break boundaries, deepen dialogue, and create connections in our intimate performance spaces, festive lobby and café. Since opening in 2010, INTERSECTIONS has brought over 25,000 people to the Atlas Performing Arts Center, the heart of the thriving H Street NE arts and entertainment district. The festival returns for its fourth year February 22, 2013 for ten days of multidisciplinary, curated performances and interactive events. “Through the arts we create a place where all can meet at a crossroads of multiple perspectives offered by hundreds of artists. We meet as audiences from every neighborhood in DC. From this intersection of people and place, an energy is ignited -- an energy that transforms.” Ms. Surface is an Helen Hayes Award winning director, a national award winning playwright, and a DC Mayor's Arts Award for Service to the Arts 2011 nominee. 2013 Programming Committee
